We designed and built a low maintenance tiny house with energy efficiency, health and warmth as a priority. Along with high levels of insulation, the house features a small local Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system to ensure fresh air circulation while retaining heat, making it both efficient and comfortable, year round. We also incorporated high performance vapor barrier membranes into the construction to prevent moisture buildup and enhance insulations effectiveness, as well as double glazing to improve performance and prevent condensation build up. Additionally, the tiny house is relocatable, offering flexibility for the owners without sacrificing comfort or eco-friendliness. It's a compact yet functional space, carefully crafted for our client, to provide a warm, energy-efficient living experience wherever they go. The external cladding is a combination of mac weatherboards, which grey up beautifully, and low maintenance, long lasting coloursteel..
The client has since, added a deck and covered pergola to connect it to other buildings, so the covered outdoor area serves as a summer lounge.

Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) design
A discrete in wall local heat recovery ventilation system ensures fresh air and a good nights sleep year round, with no heat loss on cooler nights.
The system provides fresh warmed filtered air, as it heats the air entering the room, with the warm air that is extracted out, so that no warmth is lost, unlike, with open windows, where you loose all the paid for heat out the window,
Healthier Living -better sleeps!
This ensures that the building can be locked up, and secure, when not in use, without any mold concerns, and also ensures that the room remains fresh and a healthy environment, So that in the winter, the occupants are cosy and warm, but also have a supply of fresh air, eliminating CO2 level concerns, so it doesn’t get stuffy and CO2 levels remain at healthy levels, for a better nights sleep, so you can wake up fresh, and well rested. MVHR systems minimize energy costs by only paying for your heating once.
(Waking up not feeling rested or your best?-Raised CO2 levels in poorly ventilated rooms and homes can lead to many health issues, including poor concentration, headaches, and dizziness, nausea, fatigue and many more issues.
